Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell today told eTurboNews Juergen Steinmetz, he will be meeting with John de Fries, CEO of the Hawaii Tourism Authority this afternoon to relate his concern about visitors not being fully informed about mask requirements in Waikiki, Honolulu and the rest of Oahu.
The mayor told eTurboNews he was hoping HTA would take immediate steps and was also hoping for airlines, the airport, and hotels to join in, so visitors would not end up in court and in jail when not following strict mandated in place for the island.
The mayor pledged to personally hand out masks to visitors today to make a point.
